Chessington World of Adventures
Whether you love thrill ride adventures or animal adventures, Chessington World of Adventures offers loads of fun adventure activities for every member of your family.
Adventures for Very Young Children
The youngest members of the family have plenty to do at Chessington World of Adventures. The little ones can enjoy puppet shows in Dragon’s Tale Theatre while parents enjoy a cup of tea and a few moments of relaxation. While you’re in Land of the Dragons, visit the Sir Walter Squirtalot fountain – but only if you don’t mind getting a little wet! Children who meet certain height restrictions can play in the dragon’s playhouse or ride the Sea Dragons boat rides, the old fashioned Carousel in Toytown, or the Tiny Truckers ride, also in Toytown.
More fun awaits the youngsters at the Fun Fort Amusement Centre and the Events Stage, both located in Market Square.
Adventures for Older Children
A park full of thrill rides awaits older children who meet minimum height requirements.
In Beanoland, the Bash Street Bus lifts and lowers brave youngsters once they climb aboard, and Dennis’s Madhouse provides an opportunity for children to fire loads of soft foam balls at other kids.
At Chessington World of Adventures, more fun awaits the young ones in the Land of the Dragons. At Canopy Capers, kids traverse a maze of raised catwalks through a treehouse. The challenge is to get from one side to the other; can your kids get there? Griffin’s Galleon takes kids on a wild pirate ship ride.
Moving on to Toytown, children can choose from several rides: Berry Bouncers bounces children up and down while they sit with their legs dangling; Flying Jumbos lets kids control how high they want to do as they ride lovely pink elephants. Toadie’s Crazy Cars provides a fun drive around Toadie’s garden in old-style cars.
Hocus Pocus Hall, in Market Square, is a haunted house that’s more fun than it is scary. Visitors walk through the old mansion and encounter wizards, goblins, and ghosts in this four-dimensional magical attraction.
Adventures For The Whole Family
Height and size restrictions may apply for some of these attractions, but most of these Chessington World of Adventures experiences will thrill the whole family.
In Beanoland, Billy’s Whizzer will get the whole family wet! But you’ll have so much fun getting wet, you won’t mind the soaking. Roger the Dodger’s Dodgems is another Beanoland attraction that’s sure to please.
Animal lovers won’t want to miss Animal Antics, with Brindley and Mojo, Chessington Zoo’s performing macaws. Don’t miss the Capybaras or the other four legged friends you’ll find at the Children’s zoo. Kids won’t want to miss Creature Features, an interactive animal area where kids and animals can meet face to face.
Be sure to see some live shows at Chessington Zoo while you’re at the Chessington World of Adventures. Sealion Bay and Penguin presentation are just two of the animal attractions you won’t want to miss. Be sure to see the monkey and bird garden, the otters, and all the reptiles, snakes, and creepy crawlers at the Creepy Caves.
There are rides that the whole family will enjoy at Chessington World of Adventures. Shoot at mummies and beetles with your laser gun in Tomb Blaster; hang on to your hat on the Dragon’s Fury Roller Coaster; see the park from up above with the Safari Skyway in Market Square; take the family for a relaxing, fun boat ride – until you reach Dragon Falls, that is.
The Peeking Heights ferris wheel, Pirates Cove seastorm, the Bubbleworks indoor water ride, and Transylvania’s Vampire ride will thrill all ages without causing too many nightmares or tears.
Adventures For Older Adventurers Only
Chessington World of Adventures reserves a few rides for adult guests only. Rameses Revenge, in Forbidden Kingdom is a wet roller coaster ride that spins you upside down and lowers you head-first over a water fountain!
Rattlesnake roller coaster in Mexicana “has a sting in its tail” with its twists and dips. Black Buccaneer in Pirates Cove gives you a ride on a pirate ship that you’ll not soon forget.
