The sculptures are situated in the Antique Passage which is basically a plain corridor made from stone.

Gardens

The Castle Howard is located in one thousand acres of attractive gardens. The Walled Garden is very popular with tourists and contains the Ornamental Vegetable Garden as well as the Rose Garden. Visitors enjoy the South Parterre garden which features the Attractive Atlas Fountain. The Ray Wood which is located to the east of the house contains numerous winding paths which offer enjoyable views.

The Castle Howard is well known for its 18th century style of landscaping however, a lot of the current landscapes at the castle have a Victorian style and the property has been recently restored and developed. Located southwest of the house the Walled Garden was constructed and the Satyr Gate was built in the very early seventeen hundreds. The garden was created in order to grow fruits and vegetables and during the 1750’s the garden was basically doubled in size.
